Linky this is the download for freeworlds 1.65, but does not list a Open SP for it. Best would be to try OpenSP MOD v1.1 try it and see if it is compatable with Freeworlds.

Thanks, but thats not what I'm looking for. In the 1.66 preview they mentioned a rare open sp patch for 1.65, sou after hours(over the course of several weeks of searching I narrowed it down to this site, and this file. The problem is is that the site hosting it was shut down what Im looking for is someone who has the file, and is willing to share it us Msn's IM's transfer file feature, or who has an alternative url. From what I've read Opensp and Freeworlds are not inherently compatible. It takes a large amount of modifying, and while I can do some feats of modding that are borderline intermediate, I'm still a rookie. You see I'm self-taught, I've never read a tutorial, because tutorials for some reson don't Sink in, never have. well my Time is up but I hope to see somthing perhaps more promising tomorrow.

So 1.66 will have a real OpenSp? The patch mentioned here is I believe unofficial and it is rather buggy plus it wrecked FL for me, making the game CTD when I damage an enemy to 30% hull or less. I reinstalled, did nothing, same prob but it eventually went away after a few days.

I have a copy of the open SP mod but I can't use MSN. if you can figure out another way I'll try to grt it to you. BTW does anyone know what the site for that mod is now?
