Mod Idea

criticise me all u want but heres my idea
1. make most bases ghost
2. make the capital ships(battleships included) availible on house capitals
3. make extra hardpoints that are off the ship floatin(escort simulation)
4. make a sp version that has a weaker power plant so it doesn't kill the game play
please tell me how it is, all criticizm taken

I think this is a great idea and has such great merit that the Master C should send it to Microsoft and Digital Anvil.
Prior to response from those eminent companies, MC should not share this and other like ideas he might have with forum members-who might disadvantage him.

1) What do you mean by "make most bases ghost" ?
2) What the heck would you DO with a battleship? Wipe out a pack of Rogues? You'd have to create missions like. The Outcasts have five new space stations in sector 5. Go wipe em out! You'll be acting alone on this one so we suggest you take some extra firepower. Actually, now that I think about it, that might be fun. lol
3) Why? What's the point of having armaments floating in space adjacent to your ship?
4) Weakening the shields will only make for longer pauses between salvos fired from your class 10 ship. Fire......wait...dodge...turn....fire again.....turn...dodge.....wait....have a sandwich....Fire again!
BORING!!

I must say I agree with robbio2000, these arnt very good ideas, you should think about them more before you post them and theres already a mod that lets you fly battleships. and the floating gun idea is REALLY BAD!

and your free to being critisied so... You are a swell Guy.

bring marshmellows it's flaming here.... I don't think I'm in favor of the ideas
a little too "Deathstar" for me. I like a little more challenge to a game not a free handout. floating hard points.. Iwould maybe prefer and NPC escort instead ,, ghost bases maybe... Cap ships lots of Mods have em... SP leave it vanilla

ok, 1:why would you want to "ghost" the baces? the only time I have seen a mod were an item was "ghosted " was tradelane rings, and that was only so the really big ships could use the tradelanes ( had to use this mod when I tried out the nomad battleship mod) .
2: some mods already have cap ships avalable for the players, evo is one and I think most of the mods by starfyre studios has them ( not too sure )
3: agine why in the world would you want floating turrets?!?!?! just get fighter escorts lol.
4: if you want an open sp were the shields are weaker just play a mod that just takes out the storyline (as vanilla as you can get) .
Baced on your past posts I am a bit dissapointed in this one you are usally more thoughful then this.
