If you could change one thing in freelancer...

If you could change one thing in freelancer, what would it be. just one, only one, no more, no less. 1 is fine. Perfect.

mine would be being able to continue on the stroyline after level 38, like have you go into the unknown system and wipe out the nomads with orillion, juni, and king.

If I begin to respond to a question and answer it correctly, please point me in the general direction of a good neurologist and say "That way". Thanks.

Mine would be to have jump drives on ships. You would need to either purchase or find coordinates of other systems and so forth, and fuel would be very limited, at least initially. The advantage, especially online, would be that you can found your own pirate bases deep in interstellar space, and only people you trust are given the coordinates. And from there you can stage lightning raids into wherever you want to go.

That would be cool.

If I could change one thing it would be to be able to actually join a faction. So you could pay an Outcast or something and be given a ship, guns, shield, etc...and be given missions and have meetings and stuff.

How about putting a bounty on that Mission Commission guy so you could kill him off!

in the screenshots section there is a shot of a 3d radar, this would be great or even a system compas?

Blessed Be to all those that still dream of the flight to the stars.

i totally whole heartedly agree, the beta radars were awesome....maybe if the beta testers had stopped complaining about the stupid f'ing do-nothing cockpits getting cut and focused on this we would have a more strategic less dogfighting oriented game........ ipso fecto, the faction\rpg mods are coming soon-i know of at least one person who's making a pick-your-faction selector, & k0rben has unlocked the code to buy your way into a faction also so....yeah you can look forward to flying for #x faction - no ship package w/ the bribe so the outfitting of your own ship will still be up to you.

I like BarWalkers idea, ( Vindictive isn't he) but I would most like to see a entire new story line in sp or maybe a prequel to FP 7 blowing up and actually get to do that million credit ore run.

If I could change just one thing, it would be to adapt the 3D radar from Privateer 2. You could tell exactly where all other ships were; friend, foe, or neutral, before, beside, or behind, above or below, all at a glance. That, and the ability to roll the ship, also a Privateer2 feature.

If I couldn't have that, I'd like interactive missions where you can choose among different options like in the Wing Commander Series. And your choices would determine outcome of future missions and options. It makes the game much more interesting and invites replay because you can play it again making different choices and get to see variant outcomes, scenes, etc.

the radar idea is good but the game would be more realistic if ships stopped crashing into planets eg. manhatan

well there would be less ships crashing into planets if the pilots stop useing cardamine lol.

being able to take more than one mission at a time
surely trent doesnt have that short term memory
or maybe a pen and paper

1. kill Thomas blah (6.5-B.4)
2. kill Liberty Rouges (3.5-C.2)
etc

maybe 2-4 missions at once

i'd like to be able to setup new systems, and be able to build bases.... not that it would be easy to get the parts there though
