Co-op freelancer?

hello i want to do single player co-op over lan is this possible? and without a dedicated server? ie can save progress and come back? if not make this mod already!!

No, it's not possible, and I very much doubt it would be at all possible to make a mod that would do that. We don't have access to the stuff we need to engineer such a mod. Sorry.
