freelancer 2... expension pack or new game?

Hehe it is funny
But if there will be a freelancer 2
will it be an expension pack... or a whole new game...
i hope expension pack.. sow you can continue with your own savegame... and the ship and money that you have...
that would be perfect...
and like orrilion asked
"would you be the eyes and eares of the order here in liberty? "
maybe he will ask for you for new missions .... oow I HOPE SOW

Don'T hAte tHe plaYEr,

agreed, the first time i actually finished Freelancer i had hoped for more mission, like when you grew another level orillian or juni would call you up and ask you to meet up with them on some planet or station...even though i always tend to go everywere i can TWICE before i actual head in that direction...

maybe its a April fools joke(cruelest joke so far) or maybe its true... well just have to wait 'n' see

I hope for a New Game myself. My reasoning being A. New gameengines have come out since FL was released and possibly one of those may get used if not aa hole new one were made, giving us some more function and eye candy, B.The story could continue more fully with a full game, How many games you see with a gig or two worth of content and C. With the community as tight as it is they would hear our screams to release the tools they used so modding could be much, much easier by far.

I hope theres a whole new game. But it would only be good if you could continue with your old savefile. It would be cool if you got to try to reclame earth or something.

I'm only posting this as a fellow member, not a moderator, since I have no more knowledge about this than any of you do.

I have this horrible feeling that DA may be forced to make it an XBox game. So, for that reason, I'm hoping for an expansion pack.

Example, I loved Crimson Skies (it was flawed, but I liked it), and the sequel looked truly awesome, but it's only on XBox and will not be ported to PC. Gawd, I hope that doesn't happen with FL!

microsoft is makinf ppl buy their xbox systems, why would you just make $$ off some cd when piriting is soooooo often? make $$ off machine and cd! lol i'm gona bet that this will eventually come and bite them in the butt (maybe ps3 win out or some one somehow made a emulator that is stable and fast, etc.....................................................)

I have a Gamecube, which I got for my kids, and especially my 7 y/o son loves in and can master a game in one day, but I simply hate the handheld controls and the mini joystick and figuring where all the damn buttons are.... I have big hands and don't have the patience to figure out the controllers. But you're right, everything is porting to consoles. Another example is Rogue Squadron. It was one of my first Space Sims, and along with Wing Commander, got me hooked on space/flight sims. The next two releases of Rogue Squadron were for consoles only. I bought RS2 for the Gamecube, and I just give up, since I hate the controller. It's just IMHO, but I enjoy playing on the pc much more than consoles. I hate to see the PC gaming options get so limited. All I can ever find are FPS war games which I'm not into. I guess I'm getting too old to be a gamer, I don't know.......

Your never to old to play games...
and i agree... i hate does consoles :@:S... sow i also hope that it will come out for the computer...
and boscoe how old are you then ?? (A) haha don't need to awnser that

There's always the possibility that it's an Xbox 2 game?

I actually wouldn't mind so much if another Freelancer (game or expansion) was released on a console, assuming they stuck with the arcadey, simplified controls. Voice chat would be pretty cool. All things considered, though, I'd rather have the next Freelancer / space game from Digital Anvil be more simmy than arcadey. I also missed the first person immersiveness from Privateer. I would hope that they'd de-Diablofy the next game.

woah, bos, you're older then my parents! i personally like ps2. i like Final Fantasy Games, and im currently addicted to Metal Gear Solid 3. I HIGHLY recoomend that one. It's awesome. but hey, Freelancer just wouldnt be the same on a console. but if they forced us into an xbox version. it'd make me seriously consider buying one.

"woah, bos, you're older then my parents!"
HAHA, I bet that makes him feel real good. And you really aren't ever too old to play video games. My uncle can totally whoop me in Halo 2.

But about Freelancer 2. It won't be for Xbox, I'm almost positive. Mostly I base this on the fact that Xbox 2 is due out at the end of the year. I'd love to "see" it on the next Box, because I hear the polygonal graphics are gonna be briliant, but computer would blow that away. And you really can't beat the mouse system that they're using right now. But most of all I WANT FL2!!!

If you ever reach total enlightenment while drinking beer, I bet you could shoot beer out of you nose.

Gawd, I'm not sitting in a rocking chair knitting with a shawl on my lap. Actually, I'm probalby more physically active now then when I was 25. The only thing that really gives my age away is my lack of hair. I started going bald when I was in my 20's and I have a totally bald top and back of m head, and very thick hair on the sides and back. In some ways, I feel like I'm 45. At work is one with the responsibilities I've earned. But in many ways I feel like a kid. When I'm playing games with my kids, my age goes away. But, when I get home and feel the soreness of all that runnimg around, I know that I'm pushing it when I say I'm middle aged. I've always loved electronics, and before computers were around, I toyed with my stereo systems regulaly. I would tke TV's apart and put then together again. Fortunately computers actually said to take the cover off and replace parts. Since my first coputer, a Radio Shack TRS 80 in 1980,my love of electronics went to computers.
