Beta-4-Invinsabel?

When i was doing mission 1,when its beta-4 reports,i wanted to kill him,so i got out of freelancer,actovated the beam wepon mod,and shot him.It didnt say "Mission Faled,you fired on a frendly targat",he wasnt eavon ingerd by it.

I know what the ancer is,hes to easy to kill without a shild and if he was vunrebel,id take a long time to do the mission.

Maybe English isn't their first language or they're just plain illiterate. But I've been able to damange Beta 4 without mods.
