Docking a Cap ship with a cap ship?

Ok, i'm running the realistic battleship (cheap) mod and using the osiris. so far i've been able to find out how to dock with planets and stations. i've learned to fly this hunk into tradelanes without alot of problems, but now i'm at the point in the storyline where i gotta dock with the battleship missouri. I know that later in SP i have to dock with more ships such as the osiris and i believe another somewheres. I believe this will be my last hurdle to being able to play the entire SP campaign with this beast. I'm also using the ghost docking ring mod, but i don't see what it dose or what effect it has....

sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but i couldn't figure out where it would go.

What patience you must possess to do the Storyline in the Osiris. The thing moves as fast as a tranquilised snail. i don't think that you can dock with a battleship without a mod of some description. Type 'dock' and 'docking' into the download search device and see what comes up.

I occasionally, just for kicks, take a tour of Sirius using a Liberty Dreadnought...judging by how difficult it is to maneuver those things through asteroid fields and such, it must be a real chore to keep up with the SP environments!

For docking with battleships, I'm pretty sure there is no mooring point (not sure whether that particular mod has mooring enabled)...if all it requires of you is a standard landing approach, position yourself, properly oriented(toward the stern for Liberty Bships), as close as you possibly can to the docking bay. Try this OUT of SP several times until you find the correct position. Once you are correctly positioned, hit the dock button. Since your ship will never fit into that small docking bay, you must hit esc. to skip the docking cutscene. Launch should be no problem, but occasionally you will hang up on launch, so save the game before you launch again.

Yes, it's a chore to keep up with the storyline, but capturing ashcroft was so easy it was delightful. i want to take the osiris into the harder battles like the nomad shipyard or the escape from the order planet or the dysons sphere even.

i've tried orienting myself to the ship alot of times but it won't go to the cutscene and just bounces me off the battleship.
