Maybe in that beta you could actually land wherever you want, and you could fly over the planetscapes. That would have been cool.

M$ began with this game but scrapped it, ubisoft toke the project over.

but don't know about the next...

the top one, with the mirage in the avatar thing, i miss those shields.. Fl woulda rocked if DA put those shields in. direction-oriented shields.

@ Bakedpotato - I've seen those shots before. They're on the last 2 pages of screenshots at GameSpot, I even started a thread and made a link to the page. Even then, I had people telling me it was old news.

Besides, the "space sim" ones look pretty much like starlancer, and the others are obviously for something else.

those 3 look a lot like CFW, but they are not, sure the dreadnaught looks identical, but everything else looks way off.
hmm... a CFW2?
