corrupted files

I finally got a new pc and decided to unearth a fav game of mine, but found out my Freelancer disk has a sratch on it.So i manually installed game and found out taht these files were corrupted by the scratch:

:entire "utility" ship folder
:entire "asteroid" folder, under "solar"
:file named "asteroidarch.ini"

if anyone has time , could you plz email these items to [email protected], thanks in advance

A possible easyer idea, download and install the SDK file, contains al the data files.

Thanks for that link, it fixed the bottom 2, but i still need the "utility" ship folder, hopeully someone has time to email me that , thanks

Ok , well i finally got it installed, had to rebuild the data .cab files and recreate cd image.... but for some reason i get mucho lagg in asteroid fields. I think maybe i need a diffrent copy of the asteroid folder and file, so if anyone has tiem, plz send them to me.I appreciate the poster of the utility folder, thanks much...

Just wanted to see if anyone on could help me out.... dieing to play this, seems like all the missions want me to go into the asteroids

It is probably just a case of your computer not being powerful enough to support the graphics required to run through Freelancer's incredibly detailed asteroid fields. If it is just asteroid fields, it just means you need an upgrade to your computer

I used to run this on :
Emachines 700mhz Celeron 128k
383mb pc100 sdram
Nvidia mx440 pci 64mb

Now:
ECS KT600-A AMD Athlon 1.6 OC'ed ~ 2.1g 256k
512 pc2700 ddr
ATI radeon 9000 64mb 4x

I never had any problems before except i had to turn graphics down some, But for some reason asteroid fields and debris fields lag me, everything else is fine.......

Try erasing asteroid fields. Sorry thats the best i got. Maybe it would help if you edited PerfOptions and made the asteriods enouters to 0. That helped me. But dont touch nothing there if you dont know what you are doing!

Have you made sure your computer is free of spyware, viruses, etc. They can slow down your computer significantly.

Ya, tried all that. Was hoping would email me that folder, of course if that dont fix it, atleast it would be one step closer to figuring this problem out...
