Ranks and Titles

Wandering through Sirrius, I've noticed a lot of ranks and titles that vary from Colony to colony. Juni, for example, is a Comander with the LSF, but you don't see others cary that rank. There are constibles that fly arround Bretonia, nowhere else, and even though you and Juni get the rank of colonel from a certain organization later on in the story line, you never see any members of any faction in Sirrius use that title. Anyone else notice any strange titles or ranks out there, and do the fleets of FL use Navy or Air Force style ranking? --- VH16

As far as I can tell, there are no ranks that you see in FL. Apart from the commander and colonel like you mentioned, I haven't seen any ranks. When you move your mouse over someone in the bar it just gives their name...

In a lot of factions when you hover over the character, it gives you the rank along with the name. Eg. For the Liberty Navy I saw Liutenant and Captain, for BP I saw constable and chief constable (I think). I dont recall seeing anyone with the rank of colonel or commander. I dont know the difference between the navy and airforce style ranking so I don't know which one Freelancer uses

Some of the pirate pilots have rookie and ace. not really a rank as such though.

well you know what is dumd.. Walker the friend of juni is level 2 and still is a captain it should be a rookie or a recruit not a damn captain of a cruiser

If his pilot level was much higher, he'd probably be able to do most of the fighting himself. Considering the power of the Liberty Cruiser.

from what I've seen they use Navy rankings.

oh ther are tons they use army navy police it verys from faction to faction

It does seem to vary a lot, but all pirates use the rookie, veteran, ace method. Each house has its own police and military methods as well.
