Tsk.... yeah yeah go ahead. Make up the rules as you go along.

Post Sat Sep 04, 2004 7:37 pm

Esq, I did not get that memo.

Post Mon Sep 06, 2004 1:46 am

I simply feel that it is reasonable to double-post if a topic has not been posted in for a decent amount of time (eg. three days). While editing posts is great, people do not always notice when a post has been edited and thus, another post is necessary if further discussion is sought. Does that seem unreasonable?

@Esky- I did not mean for them to take a day off, just for some kind of official announcement for them to feel good about themselves. Its pretty much a thankless, but critically important job. Thanks again guys!

Speaking of stickying this thread.... which I will acknowledge is what Esqy noted earlier, I second that motion.

Wow, what memories...I remember the times when Arcon, Spear and myself used to squabble over who had the highest counts. Of Course, Tachyon and Mad Dog and EB always trumped us. Still, I made Port Commodore back before the evient purge...damn shame. I was higher up on counts than Rubber Eagle and Wizard (***Wizard edit: I was higher in postcount I believe *** ). In fact Boscoe was about a hundred posts ahead of me, we were both port commodores. MD, you've got to contact me on AIM or MSN sometime...I want to play CS again...it's been ages. (AIM is Diehard Elvis). Glad to see so many of the old guys still here in this thread. I kinda miss Zeratural...back in the early days he was the only entertainment we had. EB, good to see you again as well.

Merc for hire...but only if you can afford it.

At the risk of bringing up bad memories, I was rereading "Taming of the Psycho" and I was wondering just what a "slurt" is?

@Junior

Hey was trying to call everyone "sluts" but he was typing at such a frenetic pace he often hit the 'r' as well as the 't' to make "Slurt." I rather like the word, it really was true I have not heard a word of which I was so fond for quite some time.

Sir Spectre giving the Spammysburg Address on 5/13/2004 22:21 PST:

12 posts and 2 days ago, we brought forth on this forum a new direction, conceived in spam and dedicated to the preposition that all posts are created useless. Now we are engaged in a great civil disobedience testing whether that thread or any thread so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. We are met on a great forum of that nonsense. We have come to dedicate a portion of that forum as a final resting-place for those topics that gave of their importance that spam might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this ... blah blah blah, spam spam spam.

Ahh I see. Got to admit, when I read that line I laugh so hard I tear up. God I love those plays.

Thanks Junior.

BTW, if anybody is wondering what he's talking about check my post on page 2 of this thread. I have links to the 4 plays.

... Having just checked page 2, I have to make a response to some people who posted a response to me that I didn't see a month ago.

@Heltak

51 SS has at least 40 damned good posts in less that 20 topics.

The hidden truth of TLR!

I'm not quite sure what you said, but thanks ... I think

@Aravis, saying "Fear Factor" 5 times only works in Off-Topic. But last I knew he was gone off to somewhere without a connection. I don't know if he's returned or not.

@Locutus

Anyway, Sir Spectre, nice to see you, everything fine and all??

Yep, everything is great!

@Arania

@Ss: good to see you again old buddy! whatcha been up to?

Busy, busy ... I've been doing lots of new things and having more fun than ever!

@J Dawg

Thanks to all of you for responding so swiftly. Perhaps we could get Sir Spectre to write an official history of the site in theatrical form.

I only write what I experience or invent, I wasn't here for the incidents Boscoe mentions so I wouldn't want to do all the reading necessary to make sure to accurately quote everyone. You have no idea how painful it was to make sure I knew every argument in and out for “Reynet the Prince of Starfyre.”

@Bakedpotato's response to J Dawg's post.

No please not that...

I have only one thing for you:

Now I'm wondering if these people have any interest to look in this thread again to see my response?
