Fear Rating!!!

You know what seemed ridiculous? I have this really beefy ship, have killed hundreds of outcasts, and yet they still insist on attacking me over and over again. I think that along with the rep system is also a fear rating. They can hate you, but if you whip their ass so much and can take down groups of 10 outcasts without dying, they would be afraid of you, and any group of enemies would just flee! There might be a resiliant few who would stand up to you, only to die of course, but it seemed weird how they kept throwing themselves at me.

Yah, I agree. I've thought about that too. What's really stupid is when you're trying to leave, and let them live, and they still try to kill you, and you waste them in no time. Idiots. Youd' think they'd run out of pilots eventually too.

Two words, Game Programing. You can hear the audio, "They goit too much going, I'm bugging out" and such, but if you are within a certain distance, they will attack. Only in story line will they run.

why let them run ... run them down kill them take what ever they drop and go buy ureself on the nearest base with a bar

every tried to open ure bottle of bud with ure lightsaber??NIGHTHAWKS (my new clan)

What's stupid is when I park my Sabre right outside Kabukicho Depot, the Hogosha's base, knock out all of it's turrets, and just slaughter wave upon wave of them, including the ones leaving the station. You'd think by the time the 300th ship is destroyed, they would actually think about leaving me alone or at least send better ships than their flying pieces of junk. If this game was realistic Hogosha members would be licking my boots in bars by now.

There are also many news reports about "amazing pilots" who killed 5 or 6 enemies alone. I have 2700+ fighter kills, 11 freighter kills, 7 transport kills, and 2 battleship kills(would be much higher if I had bothered to install BS encounter mod), yet no one even recognizes me.

which irritates the living **** out of me. I wish you could kill small stations! The little ones like Xeno bases located in asteroid fields! I could let out 5 sunslayers and badda, nothin.

You SHOULD be able to have more of an effect on the universe, like if crime is at an all time high, and you wipe out 300 rouges, then the news says "OMG TEH CRIME IS TEH DOWN! W00T W00T FOR TEH TRENT!"

i kinda like the idea of blowing up bases, when the base is blown up, there would be a lot more heavy lifters and stuff there the police yould ask you to leave often, and in 1/2 hr the base would be back, but whoever owned the base would be instantly wanting you dead.

I also like the idea of more time-driven missions. Example, in one of the systems it said that the base needed trade lane parts to contruct the trade lane, but pirate attacks have prevented its contruction. What I would like, is if you could sign on with these guys to protect their construction crews while they construct the trade lane. Over time, this would be completed, and the thanks and money would be enormous.

Dude, that is the best idea I've seen in a while. The most interesting thing would be for your character to have a direct influence on the FL universe so you could cause changes that are tangible and visible. Like you said, the trade lanes idea. If you work it well enough, it get's fixed. What would have been cool is if MS had thrown in a load of side stories which open up after the campaign, separate from the SP camp. and the one-off jobs.

yeah and you can make everybody afraid four you.... so they wont attack those trade lanes if you go tru it........

<< They can hate you, but if you whip their ass so much and can take down groups of 10 outcasts without dying, they would be afraid of you, and any group of enemies would just flee! >>

Outcasts are on cardamine. Whoopee!!!!!!!!!

p.s. What is REALLY stupid are the idiots like the Liberty Rogues, who attack your Eagle or Sabre in their level 1 ships with level 1 guns! You can sit and let them shoot you, without it even making a dent in your level 10 shields.

Thanks for the comment on my idea. I always thought of it as something you might be able to do off the side, like a side-quest, not necessarily just a "mission" to pick up at the bar. Those missions just got too old after a while.

And yes, it seems they are high on Caradmine when they attack you with their crappy ships.

Good suggestion about the trade lanes project maybe ill make a mod for that but it would be hard having ot edit the sound files and mission files and make bases appear after i time it would be quite hard and i would need help from the asylum mod to do it.

My squadron is down!, im taking flak!, prepare for landing ARRRGGHHHH!!!
