Ok, there are alot of things about Freelancer that dont make a hole lot of scince, like the planets being so small, kill 35 cargo transports and still neutral with faction, stars are so small, and alot of other things, what do you think?

I think the developers cast aside any worries about correct scaling in favor of excellent gameplay. Even though its not totally correct, its still fun to play!

that is true, but they still could have added alot of stuff to it. and i have the next Captured episode on the fourm, so read it and give me feedback. here is a link to the captured fourm.

Its not a question of if I will conquer all of the universe, its just a question of when.

Look who's talking. That was a logical statement, in my opinion. No need to flame the newbs, might just come back to bite you in a decked-out eagle

I've been playing freelancer since it came out, and I've always kept up with these forums. I never really felt like posting anything till just now though. Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Well this topic is a little stupied. Tell you why: We know that the freelancer universe is weird, and we hope that Microsoft will change it if it will make a new game.

We Will fight in the space!
We Will fight on the planets!
We will fight in the fields and in the belts!
We will fight in the galaxies!
WE SHELL NEVER SERRENDER!!!

Speak for yourself stratos. and Killa, can you stop blatantly advertising your thread in every one of your posts? just add it to your sig, and people will get the message.

Its obvious that Freelancer shouldn't be called a simulation. It clearly is more arcade and playable than other games in the genre. The absence of joystick control is evidence of this. DA designed the freelancer universe to be rich in depth, but be easily accessible by players of all skill levels and patience levels.

So what if the distances arent right? who cares about the size of suns? the game is great even with those flaws, and gives this sci-fi fan another sector to explore.

Hey, you really want to have to fly a couple of hundred thousand miles/kilometers to get from base to base? The FL universe may be strange, it may be compacted, but at least it keeps you from going insane due to boredom. And one thing that always bugged me was how gunboats are only a bit bigger than some of the larger fighters, yet they manage a crew of a couple of hundred. And compare the size of the windows on stations and capitol ships to the size of Trent's windshield. --- Jon
