ok ok ok i got a question. well in starlancer and in freelancer theres battle ships there in both but. in starlancer they have battle ships with multi docking/launching bays in other words a carrier . dont you think they could use them in freelancer universe ? jump in to a system and launch like 30 fighters in stead of launching 1 at a time or 1 coming throught a jump hole at a time . GIVE ME SOME ANSWERS!!!

I dunno, mayde the game designers were pushed too hard to add that. and we cant create a mod of it cos DA wont release the f***ing source. ah well, cest la vie.

yes the makers where forced to get the game out sence it was under production for i think 5 years dont remember i read about it in a computer gamers mag.
I think it would be a good idea for someone that dosnt have very strong battle ships like betronia or someone like that

It wouldn't fit with the rest of the game: ALL docking has one to four at a time. Also : you never fight any more than twanty or have on youre side 20 ships! Is you did there would be: collisions, Massive FF, an explosive would destroy a buntch, the game engine would be ovverwelmed, there would be no use for the listings and you would need radar,THIS ISN'T STAR LANCER,Importantly you are a freelancer and you can't freelance against 30 ships! even with wing'men!, The Gameing engine isn't dizighned for that, the game wouldent be fun! *THAT'S* why!

jeez, chill cade.

The reason carriers weren't implemented was because the engine has a polygon limit, and 20 ships would quickly overwhelm that limit.

There are things like that in freelancer. You can do what you are saying.
But the main problem is the size of the world of freelancer. that is really to small for large ships and stuff. A planet in freelancer to match the ship zise must me AT LEAST in a size of a system.

honestly if they had that id love it with an invasion of all the houses on manhatten just a billion fighters i can imagine it but DAMN that would restrain the speed and grapics its hard enough with just about 20 but 3000 i think you and me exaggerated
