I remember hearing some of you talk about the unreleased introduction for freelance, The one where the Nomad wipe out earth and the solar system. Is there a website where I can download it?
I have looked for this aswell, whats the file name?
Vist The Mercenary Navy Online - Home Of "Fl Server Guard", "FL Client", "{MN} Server Launch" and "Total Domination".

But it explains more. Maybe once you've completed the game, the intro should change to that.

Out of curiousity, I downloaded that intro, now understanding where some of those CGI screenshots in the gallery came from.
I must say, I'm kind of surprised they didn't keep it in the final production of the game. There were a lot of details there that I'm sure we would've liked to have known about in gameplay. What's more... who doesn't want to see a sun get blown up and planetwide destruction?
There were a few things I liked about this intro, and a few I didn't. But I'm willing to be that if they kept that footage they cut and used a lot of the sound bytes in the current intro, they'd have had an even better intro clip.
Anyone know if you can replace the current intro file in the FL program folders and use this one instead?

that would only confuse people. The movie doesn't work with the game, which is why they cut it. But the Nomad ships look cooler there, so I'm just guessing what the game would have looked like if it had fitted with the un-used intro...

I actually like the unreleased intro more

After you finish the SP Campaign, you may see some things that will make you believe that Microsoft pushed Digital Anvil to finish the game more quickly than they would have liked. They may have been shooting for something different, but Microsoft wanted to make sure the game came out on the date it was announced to be released...
