Who would pay? The other players in the system? I think it would be cool to totally whipe out every ship in a system, and New York would make a good target. But why not make it challenging and do New Berlin, or even better, one of the Omicrons? --- VH16

No server would allow it, dock camping rule would apply.

I think I wasn't fully clear. The pirates are *not* stationed on the New York side, they are stationed in the Magellan/California/Colorado/Texas sides of the jumps.

I dunno about the dock camping thing, when you come out of jump you still have your shields up, and it's not like there's a 10 second cutscene while you come out of jump. Perhaps a better way would be to tax everyone who comes through, say for 100,000 credits. Then kill them if they don't pay.

No one would pay, they would just bring their firends over to kill you all, repeativly.

There would be ways of defeating you. And you haven't got all exits covered my friend. I'm pretty sure there's one more way to get out.
And remember you would also have to deal with Bounty Hunters, LP, LN, and all the other traffic.
While you are fighting a patrol, a player might b able to sneak through and get away. You wouldn't be able to chase him all through Sirius.
Oh, one other problem: only fictional characters can go without sleep: and I'm sure you're no Superman. IT would be impossible for you to have exits covered 24/7

It wouldn't be hard to get through such a blockade at all. The moment you regain control of your ship, you simply engage the thruster, and you're away...the only way to go faster (and thus catch up with you) is with cruise, but that disables weapons...

I'm guessing they intend to use level 10 weapons And since you can't buy very good shields in NY...

getting a wing together and going to war with a system would be much more feesable, and more fun. Of coarse, you would have to refrain from killing other players (for the sake of not getting booted), but you could still take down hundreds of police ships, and have a hell of a fun time. --- VH16

All you'd have to do is ruch the blockade with a convoy system. They cant get all of you, and then the peoiple who get though buy better ships and cover other escaping newbs. but there really isnt another way out of NY, uless you count Alaska, which goes nowhere.

I would get annoyed and just blast my way through the entire system.

But if anyone would help me get a wing together, i would definitly appreciate it! You see, i have started a clan that may be getting all the systems around NY and we arent a pirate clan but dont charge, kill etc pirates. We try to give everyone a fair chance and dont charge anyone for using the systems....BUT (and thats a big but) if you break our rules....well lets just say it wont be very nice!

We give escorts to all traders and pirates are NOT allowed to charge, kill etc without our permission and we only allow charing on very tight conditions! Eg.
You need money but you arent freindly with most factions so you cant go anywhere. You are trying to get a rep hack but have no money, so we allow you to charge people, to a certain extent.

We did have 9 members (we are only starting) but i got the salas virus when it was going around and had to wipe my pc, making me lose all my clans email addresses. So now its only me.

I really hope to get more members and we play on several servers. But mainly on 5thss or Jolt. So back to the point.... my clan will help any other clan in wars or blockading and we hope that other clans will do the same with us.
