The Calender in Freelancer

Just out of curiosity, is there any mention of what the AS in the Freelancer calender stands for? For example, 516 AS, if you see what I'm getting at.

Many things could fit. After Settling, After Sol, or if they used Latin like AD it would be Anno Sirii, "in the year of Sirius". I don't think anyone in the game ever actually says though

TECHNICALLY is would be written anno.

I've been using AE- Anno Exodus, in a lot of my "future" writings. I've been putting together a sort of scholarly historical reference file concerning the period of what I have been calling: "The Artifact Wars," of which the storyline around Freelancer is just the first. It is historians looking back from some point in the future.

I had always taken it to mean After Sleep. Seeing as the colonists were put into suspended animation for the voyage.

i could agree to all of them as long as it is in the freelancer "zone". but i'm more after After Sol

1 AS is not the long I think it stands for after space. Keep in mind a day in Freelancer is 1800 seconds

Calender? You mean there is a calender in this game.

Why ruin a perfectly good premise for a game by giving it a calender.

seriously, it is something that I never really gave any thought to. anno sirius or after settlement whatever works.

No matter where you hide, Methane Cloud, Ice Field, or Debris Field, the Rat will find you.
