This is a wild shot-in-the-dark, but I suspect that most of the people on this forum will suggest that you play Freelancer a lot.

Imagine that, people on a Freelancer forum suggesting that Freelancer might be a good game to play. Hmmmm...

Seriously though, what are you expecting us to say? "Don't play Freelancer?" I don't think so. It's awesome. I tried the demo for X2 and found the interface so counter-intuitive that I didn't give it more than 5 minutes of my time. Freelancer has it all, as far as I'm concerned. It's one of those games that let's your imagination do the work. Freelancer is just a tool that let's our imaginations run wild and take shape.

Whoa...that was almost philisophical.

yeah, dude, Freelancer's kick ass, but if you're having trouble loving freelancer, wait for a sequal to come out, if they make one, which they better. Freelancer's awesome, but there are just so many ways they can make it even better, that if they made a sequal, I'd get it in a heartbeat! By the way, nice thoughts on life Wap. Hey, what if in twenty years or somethin they build **** that people can fly in reality, you know, start colonies in the asteroid belt or somethin? yeah, whatever, I'm bored, lol, but that would be pretty cool...

And i really wanted to love X2 - but i am a freelancer fan, just like everyone else here! And i am fed up with these pathetic posts where you (being X2 fans in general) attempt to convert people to X2 by coming to their fan site and posting these silly posts. Put it this way, if they make it online playable, then maybe it could compete. However, comparing the 2 is not only ridiculous, its also rather stupidly short sighted of the player.

They are so different in gameplay, involvement and style, that they are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Sure, both have excellent points, and both have some real negatives. However, it would be like trying to compare Medal of Honour allied assault with Cossacks. Just cause both involved war, doesn't mean a comparison in gameplay can be drawn. Same for X2 and freelancer - both involve space and flying ships, and thats the end of any similaritites . If you really have played both, you will know this to be true. Therefore you would love them both for their individual parts, rather than this usual rubbish about "its just soooo much better". I am not going to bother pointing out differences etc - as its not worth it.
