His friend says he is connected to a higher level, and he kinda does a Nomad thing with his mouth when he reads Trent's mind.

I was wondering if the FL beta testers saw more of the original storyline than the cut-'n-edited story that we have with the released game?
If so, is this mind-reader a member of the Don-Cavosh who has taken human form and is trying to help mankind because the caretakers (the Nomads) are out of control? He seems to know a lot about the Nomads.

not very likely as the dom kavosh are loooonnnng gone by the time the story takes place

It doesn't say they were destroyed, does it?
Perhaps they have moved to another part of space...just like the human Alliance did with Sirius, and now they are back....
Or perhaps it's just my overactive imagination lol

Was there anymore story in the beta surrounding this? Can a beta tester comment?

No there is no "story" left in the code. Other than stuff MS ran out of money to put in.

Maybe he IS a Dom-Kavosh, but it's been a while since I played, unless it's those two guys in rhienland who say they are the eyes and ears of people who pay them... Heck, maybe my completly strange Garling mind is juat like that. I think he's Dom-Kavosh.

Wouldn't his artifact be just as important to the Nomads? What if Mr Blix is one? the whole game could have been a sham.

If the mind reader is Dom-Kavosh (and this is a big maybe I know), then perhaps he is here to help the Sirius human settlers against the Nomads.
Remember when they say that the Nomads are the Caretakers (I'm trying to pick my words carefully here as not to be a spoiler).
Well perhaps their creation of the Nomads, lead to the Nomads running amock and even turning on their Masters (the D-K), hence the reason why the Dom-Kavosh left Sirius all those centuries ago. But now they're back to help humankind as they feel they owe us a debt for creating the Nomads in the first place?

It's also amazing how your mind can wander lol
