Finding decent weapons

Just bought my first VHF ever (Hammerhead, got the game only a week ago) in an MP server, no mods. Now I'm looking for some decent weapons for it. All I have are some Class-6s I took from dead Hessians, and only place I know of to get decent guns is New Berlin, but I really just cant stand the look of green boogers coming out of my guns. So - where to go, what to do, who to bribe? Thanks.
