I have an idea for a mod...

I am in no way a modder... so i cant do jack ****, but some of the more advanced modders out there might want to check this out... ok, here goes:

I would like a modder to make a mod that allows you to purchase entire spacestations (and upgrades available once the base is purchased... to keep the game interesting) *the purchasable stations would not be current bases already in the game (the game would make them... and mabey make the stations placeable in the galaxy?the mod could have random attacks on purchased space stations requiring constant upgrades or repair... also... different types of purchasable stations... and better bases in harder systems...

benefits:
well... CLAN WARS for one... and to keep interest in the game for those of us who have gotten tired of the game...

am i just talking out of my ass, or is this possible... and if so... will anyone try to make it? i dont care about giving credit or anything, i just want someone to make it so i can play it =D

*i got this idea from gta: vice city... (betcha couldn't tell) (im hoping this hasn't already been suggested and i didn't see it)

Hate to burst your bubble, but that's pretty much impossible. Whenever a clan/player bought a base, a patch would have to be released so players could see that he/she owned it. And that's too much of a hassle for players.

It's not that much of a hassle, but you'd need to download an update every day or week or something, and no one wants to do that.

Well, couldn't you have an auto update that is like the microsoft updates?
it downloads whenever you're online and tell you when it's ready to install or it automatically installs??

'Cause then you'd have to program THAT into FL...and I'm not sure anyone here knows how, or if they do, how hard it is to do. Plus it'd be murder on the 56Kers.

well what about forgetting mp, and having it on sp and get attacked by npcs, you might be able to do that.
