M=meters & K=kilometers???

Personally, the whole meter/kilometer measurement is a little off! So what do I propose, the implementation of the Metra/Keck system, where 1000 metras = 1 keck.

The names I got from a sci-fi movie and show, Titan A.E. for the Keck and Farscape for the Metra.

Overall this system works better since two planets can't be 56.5 kilometers apart because their overlapping gravitational fields would either merge the two into one or obliterate both of them in a big mess of shifting magma and rocks and likely create an asteroid field, of which there are plenty in FL.

So am I off base or not here?...

They probably do mean metres and km. The distances are screwed up. Seriously, according to my calculations, Trents head is the size of Moscow. Maybe that's what Juni meant...?

I think M=Meters and Km=kilometers even though that would mean the planets are tiny so even though the probally mean M=Meters and Km=kilometers i will go with the othe guy and say M=Metras and K=Kecks because it seem smore real.

I bet it's the "Freelancer unit that measures distance", and the letter representing it is "m". "K" means kilo of course, which means 1000.

So a "K" is thousand "freelancer units that measure distance".

K=1000 Miles. Makes sense. Though that would mean Trent would be the size of Delaware.

I think it's a fair assessment that the planets and ESPECIALLY the stars in this game were not made to an accurate scale, lol. I mean, if they were the size of actual planets in relation to the ships, they'd take up the whole screen. You'd never fly around them, and I reckon that if they were as detailed as they are now, something that absolutely huge would take up a lot of computer power on our low-end friends.

In FL, physics doesn't exist. Think of it as the wierd place in Star Trek: Enterprise (The deltik expanse or something? I don't watch that show often).
