How can a shield work? It keeps out incoming fire, right? So what happens when you fire? It should work both ways. Your own outgoing fire would be stopped -- and probably would blow the #$%@ out of your ship. Hmmm.

<off topic>in ship goods ini, where the eagle is, it shows what class of sheilds they have and stuff.

see this:
hp_type = hp_elite_shield_special_10, HpShield01
right above that i put:
hp_type = hp_freighter_shield_special_10, HpShield01
but thats all i did, i don't know if you can have it all like that.

and if your good at placing hardpoints u can add another shield point like this
hp_type = hp_freighter_shield_special_4, HpShield01, HpShield02
