My waste of missiles

I don't like the "homing" missiles, they're too expensive for the damage they do. If you're going to use missiles, get Cannonballs. Fire one when they're flying towards you and fairly close for an almost guaranteed hit

Sorry Nickless Thwaker. I never thought about the "fact" that the catapult sucks. Nope. Haven't lost any sleep over it either. The Cannonball is my favorite missle, but, it's also very expensive and it's not sold everywhere. The Catapult is a class 5 missle and is usuable on npc's up to about lvl 14 or 15. Beyond that it's pretty much useless. If your playing a mod the gives you 500K plus startup money etc. etc... by all means start off with the cannonball. Just because it's a mid level weapon doesn't mean it ain't useful. Hell, I use a class 3 Stunpulse for a LOooooooong time. It's a great shield buster until you can find and use the debilitator turret.

Catapults do half the damage of a Starkiller torpedo, more when you turbo before releasing it. It is the best choice for a class 5/6 ship; there are more potent missiles to use for higher class ships.

waste off missiles...

go to liberty and try to beat patriots with only missiles... 1 for shield, 1 for hull (i killed enough this way)... i founded out that the missile can leave the track to the target when make a fast turn when fire the missile... also when their is a little lag or do some extreme turnings.

i use also missiles a long time already... some knows how hard a dagger can be when they fly an vhf against me in a pvp fight without use off nano/batts.

some say about hit them 4 times with a missile and his shield is down... what kind off missiles are u using??? non-stalkers, stalkers or emp-missiles???
when using emp-missiles (neutralizer), then their shield is gone in only 2 or 3 shots. also when u use cannonballs, the shield would be gone in the same missile usage (same shielddamage, strange???, lev 7 and 9).

the best useable missiles for me are the sweeper and slingshot missile launcher (i fly the dagger), the best usefull missiles on a ship with can use all i would say the class 7 neutralizer and the class 7 lancer (non-stalker) missile, co'z they do enough damage to make serious damage for a pwefect price.

also the use off a sweeper missile and the use off a shied buster cannon is a powerfull combo against shields. for hull i use mostly the missile, but i use also 1 or 2 flak cannons (if possible fast fire, high hulldamage, otherwhise other type, like i use on my dagger a dragoon type 1 (refirerate 3.03) and a pyros turret (refirerate 4.00)). the flak cannons don't deliver enough damage for a good fight against vhf when using the dagger, so that way i needed also a better weap, the missile (slingshot).
