Is there anywhere I can find out what each faction is? Like a list of them? I just whent with a big cargo of Luxury consumer goods, and got shot to pieces when I arived at the destenation base. I didnt know the faction owning it was outlaws.

Try looking in the Commodies (SP?) section on the home page in TLR. It shows what factions own what bases, and what commodies are worth the most there.

If my guess is right, and you're in multiplayer, try going there as soon as possible in your game. Most criminal organizations outside of Liberty actually start neutral, but killing some Liberty pirates gradually turns them hostile.
