how do i get more nanobots!?!!??? HELP

i'm being destroyed before a cutscene is queued. I've attempted the same autoload over and over and there's no way i get get to the waypoint and queue the cutscene to get to saftey - it's takes to long and i'm disintegrated into space dust by then. It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANNOYING. i'm getting destroyed in a intense battle heavy fire-fight.

How can i get more nanobots? There's no way i can do this. HELP!!!

in the middle of a battle?
4 nanobots i think u press b

to buy more u have to be at a base and go to equipment

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?
its in the way

and an other way to expend the max off nano and batts is just to buy a new ship, where the max off nano and batts is higher then the one who you fly right no

--- end off transmission ---

try binding the "Tractor all" key to something fairly close to where you keep your hand on the keyboard (mine's bound to the "=" key, as I use BACKSPACE for my afterburners and "O" for missiles) so that you can hit it the moment you kill somebody. considering the range of most energy weapons, you'll easily be in range to pick up any nanobots and shield batteries they drop, meaning that you should manage to keep a replenished supply going throughout the fight.

further tactics: try hiding yourself behind something indestructible, like an asteroid, station, jump gate, etc, and using it as a shield against incoming fire.

remember that it may be better to stay out of the line of fire and pick off the weakened stragglers rather than get stuck in. concentrate on avoiding death, and let your AI comrades get on with the dirty work.

more specific tactics may depend on which mission it is you're having trouble with.

press (G) for shield bats and (F) nanno bots

Thanks for the replies - luckily i manged to get past it. I had zero shields and only 5 nanobots (one click would take all 5 and not even replenish a quarter of hull damage). I had to reload the section about 10 or 15 times i think because it seemed like the entire fleet was picking on me and ignoring my pilot comrades, but eventually the cutscene queued before i got blown to bits - and i was safe. Complete blind luck.

On the subject of the cutscene and mission waypoint queuing, towards the end of the game they really need to quicken, cos you're left hung out to dry while the NPCS have conversations about what they should do.. and why they should do it. ARGHH GET ON WITH IT i kept shouting.

As others suggested, sometimes it doesn't pay to be a hero. When you get damaged, hide or run in circles and let your friends take the heat.
