Shoot the little rocks that floar around, your aiming reticle will light up when you point at them.

Doesn't he (or she) mean how do you lay a minefield? I do not think that "a" is referring to asteroid mining. At least, that is my interpretation of the comment. If this is what you meant a, then to my knowledge, you cannot lay mines and create a minefield. Mines are only of use when dogfighting, and cannot be placed in a permanent position.

also I'v read that u can loot other ships, when I scan another ship I can get a list of cargo, but how do I take it without blowing up the ship??

You can only loot the large transports with out blowing the ship up. To do that you must aim for the cargo pods.

And I think it would be cool if there was a ship that could remove/create everlasting minefields.

is there any advantage to not blowing up the ship, I assume your rank with the faction would drop the same amount weather I blew up the ship or just the pods.

Do missions for the faction. Kill the faction's enemies. Kill Xenos.

Actually by only blowing up the pods your rep is not affected at all. They don't care about the cargo but replacing the pilots and ships gets costly.

lol - hmm - in the evolutions mod there are some static mines. If i increased the already ample life from about 30 secs to 300 seconds - then you really could lay a minefield - lol. They do work wonders by the way - everyone flies into them - however, the one i wanted to do doesn't work. That was to lay mines in a tradelane - so that stuff passing through it blew up - aint i mean

Heh... I sense a great moding breakthrough chips! Mines that stayed around would be awesome! The wouldn't even have to move much really. Drop a bunch and you have an instant advantage! I love it!
