No more new games from Digital Anvil?

I was at google search engine and found that there isn't evan a website for the company Digital Anvil. I mean wtf, the last game that DA ever comes up with is this Freelancer and there is no news of them working on another game ever since. Is DA closing down? going bankrupt? You all do not seriously think the company is still able to pay the salary of its staff from the sale of freelancers, don't you?

DA = m$ i think the staff are likely getting paid and working thier butts off on something as to what who knows (office 2007 ?)

i think you might see an Xbox Live version very soon...this is a very sneeaky suspicion...

if you go on the DA website it doesn't work! it directs you to the http://www.microsoft.com/games directory with a list of "up and coming microsoft games? wtf?

ive always liked the way PCZONE described freelancer:

Freelancer has had more changes of leader than an Italian government and more restarts than a 100m sprint race run by hyperactive 9-year-olds after a sugar injection!

I don't think we'll be seeing much more of Digital Anvil if Microsoft have anything to do with it.

Apparently I was wrong. The last game developed by DA is not freelancers, but the X-box game 'Brute Force'. It is interesting to see DA is capable to making non-space simulation games too. Brute force is not a new game, it was released may this year.

And i still do not know why DA does not have an official websit of its own. It is not true that game companies working for m$ will not get their own website. hughbiggame, also a company working for m$, which developed 'rise of nation', has a website.

Is DA a sepparate company? I always assumed they were just a part of MicroSoft, a catchy name for a particular division, in which case they would not have a website. Perhaps they were independent and got bought out by MS? Just out of curriosity, were they independent when they made Starlancer?

Wow, after being here so long I forget others may not always be up to speed.

Digital Anvil was headed by Chris Roberts. He decided to pursue other interests and Microsoft bought Digital.

What "other interests" has he been up to? Other games? --- RR16

Whoever came up with "Mission Commision" should be lined up and shot

Writing, producing, and directing movies.

I think it's highly likely that DA would be gone, but maybe Microsoft is shielding them for some reason?!?!
