What would make freelancer better?

This thread is kind of a suggestion box. If something like Freelancer 2 or and expansion pack were to come out, please post anything you would like to see in it. Here goes!

- The ability to "join" a faction: work your way up in the ranks of that faction. This may allow you to get escorts from that faction to getting a constant salary by working for the company.
-The ability to create your own faction- say you help someone out, and they like you for it. you could get them to join you and make a sort of team to play with, either out of NPCs or people online (but thats a clan) or both.
-the ability to own ANY ship (including those giant freighter ships we shoot down for money)
the ability to buy virtually anything - got 5 trillion dollars? go buy an obscure planet
-be able to hire people to build you a space station/base
being able to rent a warehouse to keep more than one ship in. getting tired of pirating? go do some trade runs with the humpback youve got in storage!
-fluxuating trade prices
-levels not based on the amount of money you have
-customizable character
-get paint jobs for your ship
-armor and power supply upgrades for your ship (so you can get a dagger or drake with decent wapons and armor)

post anything else you can think of and comment on mine!

1. Being able to customize your ship entirely (what it looks like, how much it holds, pain job, where weapons are mounted etc.) Also adding some flyable ships like carriers would be cool and have a different interface for them.

Uh you can do that with modding. If you insist we do that IN THE GAME, I'm afraid we'll have to call it Sim Spaceshipyard. Or Starship Tycoon 3000

ok so im a noob... tell me... am i blind, or is the SEARCH bar really hard to find for this forum? i dont see it. i may be a noob to this forum, but not to freelancer

maybe it was me who did all the searching and keep bringing up all the old threats

so they deleted the serach button, dont bother looking but it after "add to favourites"

Expect Microsoft to make another -Lancer game like both Starlancer and Freelancer, but watch 'em call it "Spacelancer."

To make freelancer more complete I think you will have to change the game engine it is out dated just look at X2 the threat to see what I mean.I don't think they can do any more to the game that the modder havent done already with out a new engine.

Freelancer Tycoon??? Did i miss something or what?

They (Microsoft) should make a *free* expantion pack to FL. It would have more systems, more ships, and more factions. The next lancer game they got will have the attack of the earth system.
