Best Buy - Preorder FL soundtrack?

First time I've posted in a while, but it's interesting enough, I think. Wcnews is reporting that the FL soundtrack is available for preorder on Best Buy, with a release date of November 18th. You can find it here and I will keep looking for more info.

Update #1: Confirmed that this is real. This website has stated it's coming out on the 18th as well, and can also be preordered from Amazon as well. I also shot off an email to the James Hannigan site to dig out a little more info.

Update #2: A little info on who James Hannigan is.

James Hannigan, who composed the music for Conquest and is working on Brute Force, and as you correctly point out, we tapped for our E3 2001 trailer. (We asked him to compose something with the same "space wonderment" aspects as the "mystery" mission music in Conquest). By the way he also contributed to the music track on the 2002 trailer!!!

James is supplying us with the music for the single-player story - The Story Of Trent, if you will.

Taken from a 2002 dev update.

Update #3: Got a reply, James said he doesn't know what has been included on the CD yet.

Isn't this good news??
Now you can listen to FL music while driving your car! But don't try to hack any trade lanes then

shouldnt that go nicely for free on the pre-orders for the X-pack??

I'm a little worried for those who play FL too much and have accidentally reprogrammed their mind to the music. They'll be looking for keyboard or mouse commands while driving, especially when the dog fight music comes up. Who knows what this will do to traffic patterns, when they think they're being attacked.

Do you have any statistics on how the sale is going? Just want to know if I should use my P2P X-fer prog (you know which one...) or I should wait a little longer...
BTW, Tach, what's your share for marketing this? 2%?

Careful what you wish... You just might get it.

Why bother buying the soundtrack?
The music files are on your computer allready.
All you need to do is burn them to a cd and there you go, your own free soundtrack of freelancer.

Hah, me get a cut? I wish. Not sure what's on it, I'm sure at least most of them will be remixed for better normal listening. Just find it interesting that (at least part of) the soundtrack is being released. Don't talk about P2P Also don't know about sales. You give me way too much credit

I rarely take in the music - its just atmosphere stuff in the end. i can't think of a single reason why anyone would want to buy that cd?!

"Why buy this CD"
Because it will become a collector's item.
