A more Complete Freelancer anyone?

This mod is out now - its called Freelancer: Evolutions

Okay - it has all ships flyable, and new ships too. The ships handle differently - so light fighters are faster, turn better etc etc, and vhf are slower (lf = 130, mf = 110, hf = 90, vhf&freightres = 70, transports etc = 50/60).
There are second hand ships, engines, power plants, shields, weapons, thrusters.
There are new thrusters, os you have normal, military and pirate
Military - slower, but last alot longer
Pirate - faster, but burn out quicker
Normal - normal speed and endurance
Cruise time is 2 secs for lf, 4 for mf, 6 for hf, 8 for vhf and upwards to approx 15secs for battleships. VHF for each house.

The AI is alot harder, with all ships carrying some form of shield destroying guns.
They also use regens, shoot more accurately (you won't notice at first).

Bases are better armed, new weapons - lots of, new effects (not in your face, subtle), new commodities, including a revised loot drop from asteroids and stuff for the miners of you, + 3 commodities that can only be found by mining. New trade routes (old ones moved/erased, so try looking for new ones), there are slaves, child slaves, assassins, prisoners, passengers, tourists, pets, pets stuffed with cardamine for smuggling (safely), 5 new contraband things (includes slaves etc), pilots for pirates, police, navy, bounty hunters - including ace pilots, that can all be picked up after missions and sold back to the bases, or as slaves in Omicron Alpha. Bounty hunters buy pirates for a fortune, but will rob you of them in flight.

Cargo holds are alot smaller on fighters to promote some trading in order to get best ships, but missions do pay some more (top pay is 400k roughly). There are battleship encounters, battleship killing missions, nomads wandering round in the border worlds. New bases in normal systems, there are also several new systems - all in 3D - so you fly up and down as well as left/right, back/forth.
(tradelanes will take you up and down don't worry!), One system has four bases on one planet - one for each nation, there is also another system which has a huge minefield, containing passages through it, secret desterted bases, wrecks, radition, interference, internal jumpholes to take you to 'levels' in the maze.

Prices for ships, weapons and equipment vary. Nano bots and shield bats are 200 in house systems, 220 in IW systems, 240 in BW systems, 280 in EW and Gamma/alpha systems. Guns/ships/equipment cost depending on system - so kusari ships/guns in systems that aren't kusari controlled cost more than those that are. All weapons can be brought at detroit munitions, but at greatly inflated prices (for conveniance), missiles, torps and mines don't sell everywhere - so you have to be sparing/search, but you can carry 100 ammo. Also - pirate bases sell other factions stuff at increased prices too. Junkers have a 2nd ship sale and equipment sale going on. All shipyards sell large ships and equipment for them too.

There is more - but i cannot remember it all to be honest

hey chip ill post on my site n see if player want to test if they say yes then ill do it most pepole like what ive done server side for the game so if you can email alittle more info on mod so i can email the players with it n see most likely they will try it ([email protected])

wow thats very ambitious mod...bound to be major bug though, unfortunately..i can host it for you under these condition:

1. ALL HF have 2 lvl 10 gun hardpoints (w/ intial weapons) and the rest lvl 9s points; All LF have 2 lvl9 gun points, the rest lvl 8s. Freighters have lv 7 guns and turrets points.

2. shields: all ships should be able to carry lvl 10 shields: KEEP the amount of nanobots and shield battery as before.....there is lvl 9 freighter shield, double the shield battery for the freighter

3. ask permission to use tassiin graphics and sound mod.

4. Nomads hunt in packs of 8

5. AI use shield batteries ONLY; make sure their guns have depletion .

6. some sort of aceleration RATHER than speed mod

do a clean mod with the above and i run the mod for a week;

then we add more things slowly.

right now your mod is too big and it will crash

Oh and equip ALL House police and Navy with lvl 10 shields....

battleship encounters would be nice.....
BUT make it long 500k mission from Manhattan, berlin, london, tokyo to track down a Outcast/Corsair Battleships

by the way what flmm do you need for it so i can tell every one
ill mack backup of my changes server side put orignal ones back in so there is no conflict hope to hear from you soon

ps (just me )if there is a modder out there that can do a mod like this its chip in my eyes n if there is bugs there wont be many but i dowt there will be

Erm - Justme, two things for you.

1) The mod is already made

2) its my mod, and there is no negotiation in what i do to get someone to run it.

To the others, i will email me you with the address, and termoshad - with a full as possible description for your guys.

Anyone else interested, then leave you addy below. It so far has not crashed on me for bloody ages.
Why? Cause i did have people testing it, and they haven't found any crashes. Its just that they are a little slow at testing (only three) and none can run a server.

Really i just want to get this mod out there and done with! LOL - its taken up alot of time.

Am going to include a little extra mod to make the SP game easier incase its too difficult for people. I am also going to be working on other things whilst this is tested, namely additon mods for SP where;

1) The price of commodities changes around alot, and possibly the locations and other things - so SP freighter lovers can keep searching for the ultimate trade route

2) Weapons and ships moved around, prices changed, maybe new things like effects (there are some, but i have left some out o_O

3) Semi storyline. Unfortunately i cannot make whole new missions, BUT i can make a kind of puzzle like Giskard did for HU. However, it will play out during the storyline and afterwards as well - just to add something extra to keep an eye out in. Clues might be in the loot, they might be the news, could be rumours on bases, it could also be extra lines in mission objectives, like 'as you respond, you notice some static comming from xxxxxxxxx, which its beacon says is part of the 'blah blah' base - or something like that anyways. However, that will take me a while to think up, and include (not haphazard, but well thought out - as there might be three or four different ones at the same time o_O !!) Anyone like that idea??
