The translation is correct, albeit too litteral..let me explain;

Kralle is the common word for claw, if you mean a specific kind of claw, one would use Klaue. "Ein Löwe hat Klauen, eine Erdräummaschine kann auch ein Klau haben", A lion has claws, a JCB can also have a claw.
Also Alleingänger is the litteral translation for maverick, meaning 'loner' or 'independant'. Someone German (or Dutch, like me) would leave the name for a maverick missile unchanged, although older generation Germans would say 'Maverick-Rakete' (maverick-rocket).
So modern Germans (I think Rheinlanders classify as such), would say 'Maverick Klaue'.

This all comes from my school days and is a bit rusty..
