Whats your favorite Missile?

What is your favorite Missile?
Firestalkers? Catapluts? Neutralizers?

I don't use missiles, so I don't know.

My favourite missile has got to be the Hornet Cruise Disrupter, nothing annoys me more than someone trying to run.

Other than that, I tend to use guns rather than missiles.

well i use the lancer missile coz it does a fair amount of damage and is relatively cheap, though the paralyzer isnt too shabby,

Now that ive added my 2 cents, im going to get back in my box.

i used div missiles...
i like combo-missile shots the best...

1 emp-missile and almost inmediat a non-stalker

co'z i'm using a dagger my combo is sweeper missile and slingshot missile...
toke already an eagle with this down... 3 slingshot missiles destroyed his hull

i will make a banshee pilot with neutralizer missile and lancer missile... gonna see how fast a titan is wasted

If u c some1 in a dagger make fireballs from hunters it can be me

cannonballs !

I'm kinda irked that there is no class 8 missile, to compliment my Cutter mine at $3k ammo.

Lancers are a little too wimpy for class 10 ships, but I just can't bring myself to spend
$6k a shot on cannonballs when I can get free guns! So I use starkiller torp at $373 ammo
unless I am on a assassinate mission where I swap to wasp disruptor.

I sometimes upgrade to Hornet ($3k) on my Drake, but never get Sunslayer ($7k) on VHF.

Sometimes use EMP missiles where I just can't get a good Pulse gun to match my guns.
Since there's only two makers of Pulse guns, only 2 speeds, with not every class of gun.

Homing Missiles are seriously underpowered, but may be good on freights to make up for the
lack of maneuverability of the ship.

The price is what has scared me away from all ammo using weapons.

@jeeves can't wooster treat you to some?

Hey, does the Hornet give ANY benefit over the Wasp besides the slightly higher (but still barely as much as a plain vanilla Stalker) damage it inflicts? Is there anything that makes it worth spending all the dough on them?

Catapults. Not prohibitively expensive(leaving more creds for other stuff), and deals an arseload of damage for its level. Not quite a Cannonball, but you can't put 4 of them on a class 7 ship(Stiletto) anyways...witht he prerequisite shield-busting weapons in the other two slots, naturally.

Other than that, most definitely the Hornet.

@Ijuin

Wasp=700 m/s Vs. Hornet=800 m/s

Wasp=2500m Vs. Hornet=3000m

I'd like to know myself:

1. Does the Hornet get fooled less often by countermeasures?

2. Does the Hornet have a longer disruption time?

Yes, I think the Hornet lasts a bit longer. And the higher velocity alone makes it harder to stop with countermeasures.

I'd say the starkiller torpedo is my favourite "general purpose" missile. It doesn't take up a gun slot, and is cheap and explosive! On my freighters, which are all-missile armed, I just take the highest level the ship can carry.

For PvP the Sunslayer proved to be the most useful, but it certainly needs to be handled with care. I've blown myself up with it more than once.
