Hey folks!
For those of you for whom enjoy Freelancer, and especially those who want to see more multiplayer action, I highly recommend looking into Allegiance. Allegiance is an abandoned Microsoft project that currently lives at www.alleg.net. If you've never heard of it, check it out. In a nutshell, its Lancer flying with serious team strategy. Getting set up is a little tricky, but well worth the effort. The learning curve is kinda high, not so much in controlling the ships as much as deciding which ship / faction / team strategy you are going to take on.
