Too slow. I always hit the F3 button when I'm at point-blank range to what ever I'm docking with - much, much faster.

You can bump up a few places in line at jumpgates by docking with trade groups. Doesn't always work though. --- RR16

I find that that ends up failing more often than not - and when it does, it usually means having to wait even longer than if I'd just sat there and let it go by itself, on autopilot.

use to do it, then i discovered patrol-paths in the nav map. its much faster, and makes it a lot ezier to find jumpholes and bases. yeah, that is a pretty newbie post, then agaian this is a pretty newbie thread

i use to "hitch-hike" patrollers when i jump on another system. I use it just to plot my waypoints easily with out worrying to go to a star or a giant asteroid.

Working hard to earn... but too lazy to do something...

hehe, yeh I do point blank docking with trade lanes n jump holes too. Only hitch hike if im searching for a particular base, usually pirate (like a certain Kusari factions one, annoying to find if playing open SP or MP)

Sometimes the glass is half full, other times its half empty. Usually its just twice as big as it really needs to be

i do it mostly for extra gaurd (i'm trafeling with a defender in the edge systems, and it can be very hard...)

and for jh and jg i use them to wait lesser and jump faster
