the Nav map again?

Hi everyone

I posted a question regarding the fact that I had no access to certain systems. The replies suggested that, once I arrived at the right place they would appear? I am now at the Cambridge system but have no access to the Lower Sirius Sector. I ca only go on to Omega3, Omega7 and Stuttgart etc.

What one must do in order to access the rest of the remaining systems i.e., Omicron 5, Omicrn 41, Omicron Gamma etc. Is there another star map that I need please?

regards

Not sure I totally understand your dilema here, but I'll take a stab at it.

More systems will be added to your System Nav Map as you discover jump gates and jump holes that lead there. Simply being in the "area" won't make "close" star systems appear on your map. Most systems only allow access to 2 or 3 other systems, so you pretty much have to fly from system to system, checking out the jump gates and jump holes in order for new systems to appear on your nav map.

I don't have the nav map memorized, and providing details on how to get to some of the border worlds would be a spoiler anyway. Suffice it to say, your best bet for finding all those places is to just keep exploring. I'm sure some of the other lancers here will be able to provide more detailed info on the layout of the nav map and which major systems connect to others.

During the storyline, there are certain systems you cannot access - Tohoku and Alaska, I think. All the rest are accessable at any time, after you have to leave Liberty. Certain jump holes are not usable (the Dublin jump hole in ...uhh...Leeds, I think, or it might be in New London - I don't have a map handy) until you get to that part of the story that activates it, whereupon you can then use it thereafter. Those semi-restricted jump holes do not block your access to those particular systems, just those shortcuts to the systems.

If you can't read this, then you're probably illiterate and have no idea what I'm saying anyway.

You can only access Alaska and tohoku during the storyline unless I'm a great big turd and know nothing..........

If you throw enough mud ..some's gonna stick.

Put more simply ... the outer systems have no jump gates! Only way in is through jump holes. You have to fly around a system and look for jump holes. So start hunting jump holes! I know there are well over 100 jump holes in the game. Look at your record and see how many you have used. Bet it is not very many.

p.s. Somewhere you get told a "rumour" about how "out here we use jump holes". Forgot where they told me that though.
