Questions

1) Why don't we ever see Trent's Card !?
2) If I can find them, why can't the House Militaries find Pirate bases/systems and wipe them out with Battleship strike groups?
3) How could any civilised society survive commercially with so many pirate attacks and destruction of assets?
4) WTF are the gas giant planets so piddlingly small? They're impossible under any current Gas/Ice giant formation theories...........

1. A model was never made for it in the game, I guess they just wanted to save time.
2. The house militaries pretty much have their own problems to take care of in their territory, to strike on a pirate homeworld would take some serious resources that they probably can't spend.
3. It probably couldn't, Freelancer is not an accurate economic model, it's just entertainment.
4. Probably to save space in the systems, bear in mind that an entire star-system in Freelancer is only about 100-150 KM accross, an accurate gas giant would fill up the whole thing.

In my opinion.

1) You do see Trents card, Your reputation icon.
2) If you were able to wipe out all the pirate bases. Who would be our
enemy? "Good and Evil, There never is one without the other." (Merlyn)
3)In the real world, your right. Business could not maintain itself with such
loses. But 95% of this game is based on Imagination.
4) Again Imagination for our entertainment.

It took them 6 years to develope this game. Can you imagin how much longer it would take if they used realilistic therorys......Try eliminating all the turrets off a pirate base. Great fight!

If you are in an Eagle or a similar ship, blasting the turrets off of a pirate base is quite easy. But you cannot damage the base otherwise. I wasted a lot of torpedos finding that out.

Actually, attaking a hostile base is a great way top make money. You can get as much for salvaged cargo and eapons as you would get in the highest paid missions.
