Fight or Flight?

Howdy to all you guys out there... Now down to business.
I was just thinking, what does everyone else do when, say, they are hopelessly outnumbered and outgunned in hostile territory? Do you stay or do you go? Try and be the honourable, fight-to-the-death kinda guy, or do you make a last-ditch run-for-your-life attempt at saving your skin by jetting outta there?
Personally, I love to stay and fight to the end, even if I know i'm gonna die sooner or later.

(By the way, I don't really mind what ship you're in, I just don't want this to turn into a "best ship" thread, okay?)

Of all the systems, in all the galaxy, you had to fly into mine.

Depends really, I sometimes engage! engage! () even when I'm badly outnumbered and outgunned, but sometimes I just stay away from it all, even if I got them outclassed (eagle vs starflier), especially when I outclass them, the fight is not worth it.
I like a good fight every now and then, but if I'm trading, or just not in the mood, I leave.

btw, Welcome to the forums.
Have fun here!

I flew around the Outcast systems in a Titan when I was hostile to the Outcasts. I blasted wave after wave of Sabres, tractoring in all sorts of great equipment to sell elsewhere. But after about 40 minutes of no stop mayhem, I was getting pretty tired of constantly fighting and could hardly wait to find my way out again. (Took some doing, since I kept getting the wrong jump hole!) I tried it once again in an Eagle, just for ship comparison. But since then I'm bored with genocide. If faced with waves of baddies, I'd just as soon scoot as shoot.

If I'm flying a ship with higher than level 7 payload, I never refuse a fight....

...although when I have a level 10 payload I do tend to cut the engines and fight one handed (whilst yawning)...just to see if I can ....anyone else find that if you're in an eagle, titan or sabre with level 10 shields and a lvl10 payload that combat is just far too easy? Sometimes I switch to a solitary turret just to see how long it will take to kill the buggers!

A Titan makes a great weapons platform. Just cut the engines and sit there blasting way. You can suck in the shield batteries as you blow up the perps, using them to keep your own shields high. Sort of boring after about 10 or 15 minutes though.

Bascially i just fight away, but i agree with the most part of you, it can get boring just fighting against loads of waves of ships, lets face it, sometimes we are just too skilled...... NPC's are easy prey.... Muhaha
