never relising how good freelancer was....

i've just upgraded my pc to 'beast' status and have relised how good freelancer is on full rez and full detail, i was only running at 800x 600 before but now running at full rez it is beautiful compared to 800 x 600, just letting the people know.

By the way, does anyone have a funny ambition for a yearbook?

He must be about to graduate and wants something clever to say. And he's asking us???

Ambition: Body makeup man for Hustler? First emperor of North America? First Protestant Pope?

See ... he's asking in the wrong place.

beast status means bloody powerful, something that like predicts the weather.

And an example of an ambition for a yearbook:
...to have more money than you!...
...the go around the world and taste the dips of the world...
...to live happily ever after...

I've just upgraded to beast status as well...I originally played the demo on a 16Mb graphics card (yep it can be done!), 128Mb RAM, 300MHz system....I bought the full version soon after upgrading to a 256Mb graphics card, 1Gb RAM, 2.6GHz system and OOOOHHH MMMMYY GOD!

I swear I almost wet myself

Got ya beat, gromit - I originally played FL on an 8 MB TNT2 video card. Actually ran surprisingly well (~20 FPS), although looked pretty boring with all the effects and details turned down.

I upgraded to a 64 MB GeForce 2, and on my Celeron 1.2GHz that can hit 30 fps most of the time with most of the detail settings all the way up (although with all filtering/antialiasing turned off.)

I may have you beat, T-hawk, I do think I started the demo with a 8MB VooDoo3

I have a piece of seaweed that predicts the weather, cost me nothing, got it off the Golden Mile. Can that be classed as a "beast?"

..you think you're done with the past; but the past isn't done with you..

Why do you need a pc that predicts the weather? Just go watch the news or look on the net, lol.

maybe so DeaconCrude, but most of the time, the news is wrong..lol

funny thing was I was running the demo on a 16Mb graphics card with all of the detail turned up - reason? - simple, my card couldn't cope with the text in the game so I couldn't work out how to turn the detail down!!! Now imagine playing freelancer without ANY text! I couldn't see where I was going, what I was supposed to be doing or what I was using! But I still loved it! Sign of a good game to me...

frobozz - I don't believe you, since there weren't any 8MB Voodoo 3 cards as far as I know - they only came in 16 MB. Voodoo 2's and Banshees came in 8 MB, although I don't think FL supports them at all.
