I was taking a look at the weapons list and saw those there, as well as a couple of Nomad Energy weapons that appear to take no energy at all to fire. I also noted that they don't appear on any of the listed wrecks - where are they?

To get the Nomad weapons, you have to shoot down Nomad fighters. Occasionally, they'll drop either the Blaster or Cannon.

I haven't seen nomads yet... where are they?

Post Thu Aug 07, 2003 7:13 am

Don't worry. You'll find them when the time is ripe,

p.s. Jump holes show up on the list, if you have clicked onto the "show everything" icon. They also show up on the nav map.

I just reached level 10, and am in the Bretonia system... I've got about a half a million in the bank, and I figgered it was time to go and get a Dromedary from Mactan Base to make a couple of million on trade runs. According to my reputation thingy, I have 2.5 blocks on the positive side oft he scale with the Lane Hackers, yet when I went to the base, they fired on me. How high does that scale have to be before they'll stop trying to kill me??

yeah thats anoying. sometimes when u r enemy with people they r netrual. its some of the mysteries of life.

LethalLarry: Maybe you are bad with Lib. Rogues or Outcasts. When they see you they will call all their little friends, in this case Lib. Rogues or Outcasts, and attack you.
That's it probably.

yup... i have that now mostly in rheinland, thus silly poor cops who shoot for their friends on me (an ealge with class 10 shield)...

but normaly thus cops r neutral for me...

So what you're saying is that even if my rep with the hackers was mazimum on the positive side, they'd still attack if their allies (who are my enemies) are fighting me?

Post Fri Aug 08, 2003 9:07 am

If they are friendly with you, they won't attack. But if they are neutral, they'll turn hostile when their friends attack you. What always p*sses me off is how the police in a system will watch you get attacked and do nothing. Even more irritating is when they tell you they are going to scan your cargo when you are in a fight for your life. How about helping me out, instead of seeing what I have in my hold!

Well, You know.... the police...
Never where one needs some...

Post Fri Aug 08, 2003 2:12 pm

They even say "Ok, all clear, scanner shows no more hostiles".
WTF, I'm fighting a dozen Outcasts here! Come back here and help me out!

Or you try to help others out and they leave in the middle of a fight, leaving you alone. that sucks.

Yes, never heard any "You seem in trouble, do you need assistance, i repeat, do you need assistance ?"
---> press assistance bouton or key (you know, the button that dont exist on the interface)

I have many allies, but they never help me. At the opposite, enemies ad neutrals seem to be pretty smart for help each other against me.
A strange conception of what friendship is !! I am bored !

My status with the Hackers is 2.5 bars on the positive end of the scale, which I'm assuming still means that we're neutral... how much do I have to improve it before they become friendly? I've been fighting the Mollies at every chance I get (enemies of the Hackers), but running from fights with the Outcasts (allies of the Hackers) during my trade runs, trying to bear in mind that I want to get into that base at some point in time. How many Molly ships will it take to improve my rep with the Hackers by one notch?
