For those who say its boring

I heard a couple people say they've found the game boring..here's my scenario..far from boring..
So I was bored with colarado.. I thought..hey i'm level 11... I should branch out..see other systems..well anywho.. i went into keplar..right off the bat 4 hackers jumped me as I was exiting almost took me out while my shields were down for that split second.. (server lag I think) anywho..fought them off and got into the skik o ku system.. and I was looking for a fun job to do..and I saw assassination..now it was listed difficulty 19 but I don't mind taking higher level assassination jobs..becase I can fly in blast em and run out
Well i headed in and of course the target wasn't there..so I delt wtih the 4 daggers...(they were hackers) and headed to the second waypoint.. now things seemed fine at first..there was the target..and I headed in all weapons blasting (I'm in a defender at this point 3 drails, a couple scorps, and a turret of some sort.. ) I knock out his shields and BLAM 10 hackers appear outta no where ... 7 daggers and 3 silohuettes.... so I thought..no big deal.. I got 14/14 on the bots/batteries... I continue to blast him..and I get him.. but I had to destroy his cargo..so I did so quickly and turned to get the heck outtat here.. cruise engine engaged..BAM CD missile..oh no.. kick the thrusters..duck bob weave...
shields are down..shields are up..shields are down..well thats okay I can fight them.. turn and fire..uh..maybe not such a good idea..turn and run.. cruise engine..BAM CD..uhoh... welll... how far is it to the base?? oh..only 24k.. thats okay.. I got thrusters...hrm..don't last that long..
So here's the sitaution I got it on free flight.. dodging and weaving like me arse is on fire..which it is.. you can see energy weapons of some sort..basically filling the screen.. as the thrusters fill I use em and take off.. at about 10k from the station (yes I lived this long) I'm outta batteries..got like 3 bots left... and they were finally dropping back..so I said..woo I'mm gonna make it...
they actually dropped off my screen.. and I kicked up the Cruise engines..BAM suddenly all 10 wer eback on me.. so as I filled my pants and kicked up the thrusters again I also noticed at this point..1/2 my weapons are gone.. I havea drail and advanced scorpion..and some silverware I jacked from a bartender... I tried throwing that at them..but they just tractored it...
so by the time I get to the base..there are only 7 on me..the other 3 got bored..1 silo and 2 daggers dropped outta the foot race...
I thought..hey I 'll dock at th ebase and hide.. its a big base... but oh no.. I couldn't shake em long enough to get a clear run to dokc..so i hide behind a really big part of the base..I thought hey..we'll let the base take them out..but oh no..it couldn't hit the broadside of a barn... so I had the base run interferance while i picked off the remaining 7 hackers.. my ship looked like swiss cheese..one wing was entirely gone... the other one 1/2 gone..teh rest of my ship was a black mess...
I really don't know how it was still going.. all those nanobots I guess...
I got 20k for the mission..spent 19 k fixing my ship up afterwards..buying weapons and such...
but I think I got some good rep with the bounty hunters so that was good..
So once again if you think the game is boring take a defender and assault a hacker boss... you'll have fun

u call that fun... i once had to do the same scenario, only i was in a titan with my signature loadout(firekiss2, wyrm2, diamondback, cerebus, wildfire, Nomad cannon) against +/- 50 GMG eagles on a level 43 assassination (real assassination, not kill-contraband)... ... ... nead i say more, no, THIS is fun, although having to waste 150,000 creds to fix the dam hunk-o-tin kinda sucked, i only made about 125,000 off the whole deal, and omi beta ishard to fly through,but wat the hel?

You want fun?

Try a lvl 40+ kill ships mission in the omicron systems, while equipped with nothing more than a drake and a bad attitude

If thats still too easy, sell all your bats/bots before going out on the mission.

Just my $0.02, but it could just be the cardamine talking.

I flew through Rheinland with a crusader before the race mission with dex hovi - everything had suddenly turned red

I lost a wing and my cruise engine - then they got me...

yeah being attack 10-15 dragons ,missles coming from battleship missle comes from nowhere hits me lose both wings now i got an eagle with one laser and missle launcher trying to take down a gunboat that's kicking my ***

its not suicide...a challenge yes, but not suicide...just pick the right mission, and equip the right shield..
i do it a few times a night, i even survive most of em...
best way to do it is make sure you are in an asteroid field...you can dodge behind the rocks

Nope. Not suicide at all. You could do that in even the most basic of ships, as long as you stayed on the move and away from radioactive areas.

I like to downgrade my shield to a class 4 and do missions. It's good as a training exercise more than entertainment. I don't consider honing my skills vs the AI to be worthwhile, so I try and find ways to make fighting AI more like fighting players (shields go down quick). That way at least I learn something.

Havent posted here in months....Just wanted to come back and see how the game is going. WELL i didnt think the game was boring, for about 1 1/2 months, but after that, i lost interest. Doing trade runs to get one of the top 3 best ships (the vhf's) got a bit boring, and constantly killing pirates for more money than i could ever want or use, also got a bit boring, so i went to mp. You did the same, just with some player interaction. It got fun again when i went pirating convoys in liberty with a group of people, but even that lost interest. Then i went on trade runs with a group, and then i also lost some interest in that too. Yes, there are 60+ systems, and yes there are some cool things to find (wrecks, jumpholes, hidden bases, etc.) but there is little to do after that. I had problems with most of the mods, and if they worked, i probably would have gotten a bit more enjoyment out of this game. The modding community is good. However since it started so soon after the game was released, it would appear that the game lacked so much content that the PLAYERS, who are here to PLAY the game had to add on more and more so that they wouldnt lose interest. I bought this game to play and have some fun, not to modify it over and over.
(BTW, i am playing EVE for almost 3 months steady now, and i am still enjoying it. Gonna get flamed for that...Maybe EVE is more my type of game)

This is my idea of fun in freelancer: Get a powerful battleship or crusier, go out into open space where a LOT of ships go, then just shoot everything (friendly or not), then go to a different system and shoot down more ships, so on and so fourth. It's quite fun, you should try it one time. >

Plus this is what suiside is: going to space with an unarmed Starflier in a Liberty Rouge area, now that is stupid isn't it? But i try it anyways.
