OK, a Death Star is a little too much. I would like a patch that allows a server to add a huge hidden base of wonders, and maybe a cool ship to go with it. It would represent a Death Star's power and destruction but not have to look like one.

I watched those Emoticons fighting for a few minutes. Then realized that it was a cycled image.

Well we could always just make him an r2-d2 thing and make it as some small ass ship that can only fire one class -123 gun.

I know nothing about mods, but it can´t be difficult to make a planet look like the deathstar, can it?

While you´re at it, make a orbital station look like a stardestroyer.

do you want to fly it??? first: the thing wouldn't fit through any of the tradelanes, jump gates, jumpholes, or dock without some wicked docking mod. second: the thing would have too much power and even the most baddest arse dudes in the game couldn't touch the pilot. third: the thing would have WAY to many guns and the superlaser would be WAY to powerful. and finally: just go buy a star wars game or find a mod that changes the universe to starwars. sorry i just think having a death star is nuts.
now having it as a station would be cool but i don't know how to do that, i just barely changed my titans engines in a week and a half

Modding is not impossible to learn, and since you really want to have a death star, you can give it a shot. Most of what you need to learn will be in the editing forum threads, but you may have to dig around a bit to find what you need.

If one does build a Death Star, they should include the weak spot from the films. I wonder if it would be possible to build it so you can fly into it?!

As for the weak spot, I remember another discussion can't remember what it was about, but the subject of strengthening torps and expanding their blast radius came up. Apparently it was actually easier to kill some battleships (without increasing the power of the torps) because the increased blast radius would make it easier to destroy a part of the ship that had less armor on it, then the whole thing would go.

Maybe that helps, maybe it's a waste of time, maybe I'm going to say "taboot."
