The Criminal Elements

Been playing Freelancer for awhile and I've become convinced that I'm one of a few gamers who is a good guy. Seems everyone else is on the other side of the law, not that I care. Anyway....

I need to know how I can smooth over my rep with all the criminal elements (Outcasts, Hackers, Corsairs, etc.) It would be nice to be able to use a tradelane without being disrupted and jumped (although most often most who do so end up dead). I also know that some good deals can be found amongst them. So, where do I go to fix this and what will I need for credits? Just curious.

To get on the good side of the crim factions, shoot EVERYONE except crim fations. That's the way I did, I still enjoy every minute of this character.

well um from the way the alliances go from what i seen thats the impossible unless you activate the friendly universe mod and kill 20 nomads but then what would the point be in the game

p.s. im just a simple trader

Well, most people don't like to spend a long time shooting the police and whoever else, but what you could do is look around some zoner bases for some bribes (~100-150K) I know theres some zoner base in tau 29 or something that gives an outcast bribe, and usually they have others too, like the corsairs and stuff. Then again, you can also get a bounty hunter bribe at those places too, or a zoner bribe for about 5000 credits. Usually once you are good enough with a faction, their allies will not be hostile to you anymore, which are usually other criminals.

The downside of being a criminal is that 1. the trade lanes will shoot at you, as will all of the 'official' bases of any house system, and the freighter companies, and whatever else, and 2. the tradelanes will still get disrupted, but the criminals will not shoot you, only the middle of the 2 trade lane rings...but you do get good money

it's quite easy, but you'll need money.

(as in real life, everything's easier with money.)

go to a freeport, where all kinds of people meet.
zoners often can bribe your way in to different
criminal or rebel fractions.

i'd say you'll need 100000-150000 credits.
