When talking about your PC not being the best, are you referring to it crashing? There are a couple of known bugs and fixes.

Starfury is available from Planet California
Thunderbolt from Los Angeles.

And they are a beautiful ship to fly.

The starfury and thunderbolt are two very special ships, there is nothing like them in freelancer for handling. The starfury especially, so be sure to use the strafe feature

BTW there is now an omega starfury, the one bester flew, in HUv7.1. Jet Black with the omega symbol on top. The Omega version is an upgrade too, can carry better shields and better weapons than the standard starfury so you have an upgrade path you should enjoy. Its also a very cool looking ship


As for where you can buy it. Well id avoid buying it until version 8 if your short on funds. I say this because I just noticed the standard equipement is upping the price and i have fixed this by dropping the ship hull price. So the starfury and omega starfury as well as the snub fighter will all be cheaper in HUv8.

As for the starting ship. I did add the starfury as the starting ship once but the 1.1 patch thought it was cheat and kicked people off the server before they could even join the game so i removed it.

Now i am not supporting the 1.1 patch I decided to add it back in. So you may get the starfury in V8 as the starting ship anyway. However, dont expect the sort of equipement you'd get for free on the one your buy from the shipyard. It will be a basic loadout at best, you will have to upgrade it your self.

PS: i have a guy with a p2 450 testing HU and every computer related crash he reported in high action areas of HU have been fixed, a new round of testing has already started for my new fleet encounters. Which btw are best performed in a thunderbolt or starfury because of its straffing abilities.

Titan owns will find they dont have the best ship for the job. Though it should do the job.

PS: dont tell anybody but theres also a Narn fighter and Minari Nial and 2 B5 cargo ships in HU. Check the opening credits of B5 Season 1 and see if your recognise the cargo ships

Also be sure to check all shipyards in V8 once its released. You will find they are real shipyards now with real shipyard demands and real shipyard products (SHIPS to you) for sale. Including the starfury in liberty shipyards.

There was an aussie server running the mod, but i think it stopped some time ago. The mod was released in version 8.1 back in about june last year i think, and i really doubt there is any other server running it at this time. However, maybe if you have a regular server that you play on which has become quiet, maybe you could ask the admin to consider it. However, there is an issue with the patch being used on the servers for some reason.....not sure what it is (never investigated!).
