I've got some bad news, if you've beat on the Lane Hackers too much, you've probably got a bad rep with them. They control Mactan and there is no other place to purchase the Drom. You can either kill a ton of bounty hunters or Xenos to get back neutral with them but it's going to take a long time.

Never mind. It is possible. I did it and got the Dromedary. Though once you are allied with the Blood Dragons, everyone in the Galaxy will hate you. The only people who like me were the Brit police and armed forces.

You can get the Dromedary in single player as soon as you are sufficient level.

The last few missions are a lot of fun in a Drom. Believe it or not, that's actually the ship with the biggest firepower (excluding torpedoes) that you can take on the last few missions. With the turrets, it can fire forward with seven hardpoints (one of the turret slots can't), one more than the Dragon/Barracuda/Anubis. And the freighter shields have around 20% more capacity than the HF shields as well.

One trick to getting the Drom is to go to the other base in the system where Mactan is, and accept any mission. That will make the pirate factions around Mactan temporarily neutral, since you don't get attacked while you're on a bar mission, and you can go land on Mactan.

Can you really land on a base/planet while you're on a mission?
I tried it during the campaign missions and that doesn't work.

You cant dock during the campagin to make sure you dont take a non-story mission or stock up on bots/batts before your supposed to.
