Finished The Game?

ok, i just destroyed the nomad base and i go back 'home' to manhatten, is this the end of the game? Orillian (or something like that) said something about i may be needed soon again, can someone tell me whether this is the end of the game, or will there be more main missions?

From what I hear, that's all of the plot, but then there's the rest of the galaxy to discover.
ps: watch the spoilers

Roam the systems, fight pirates, make new friends, make new enemies, get new ships. All this and more in the Syris Systems.

It's by no means the end of the game. But it's the last of the story missions. Hopefully, there will be a sequel ... since those Nomads are still out there somewhere. They just got sucked out of the Sirius system ... sort of. "But weeeeee'll be baaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!" :-)

I finished the game a while ago , but have been reluctant to trade in my Anubis for a new ship. If you get rid of it, can you get it back again or buy it somewhere else?

And how come I see weapons that are level 8 and higher being sold at different worlds, but the maximum class I see on any ship is 6?

I did kind of hate to part with the Anubis, since it is the Order's ship. But there are much stronger fighters out there. And once you have sold your Anubis, I don't think there is anywhere you can get another. Too bad you can't leave it with Tobias for old time's sake.

The Order's ship and equipment are also dirt cheap. Sell them and you won't even get much for them. Plus I'd bought my own Anubis. Orillian says something like, "Complete this mission and we'll give you an Anubis." I thought, "Huh? Don't you notice what I'm already flying?"

Might be fun to continue using the Anubis as you explore the system and hunt bases, jump holes, wrecks and ... some surprises yet to come! But you'd be taking on a challenge when you go up against bad guys flying powerful Eagles, Titans and Sabres.

p.s. You will find ships later in the game that can take up to Level 10 guns. I carried some around with me until I was able to use them. You find the guns on the wrecks of some Imperial fighters. Save some for later use and sell the others for lots of money.

I hated to part with the Anubis too. But I had to, to buy the Saber.

The highest lvl wep is 10, and there are a few ships that can have guns that high.

Unlike some of the odd looking contraptions you fly in Freelancer, the Anubis is actually a rather attractive ship! (So are the Eagle and Sabre, but the Titan is a heavy hunk of machinery. Looks like you out to be able to ram fighters with a Titan and take them out.)

You can ram ships in ypur Titan ... Very sattisfying watching the enemy spalt accross your screen and explode !

Whats the last thing that goes thru a Xenos brain as it hits your screen ?

A yes, story jet lag.
Also known as an empty feeling you have for a short period of time after completing the story. You are free to do whatever you want, but you haven't really realized it. I agree, the story could have been better. Spending hours searching for ONE ARTIFACT or ONE PROFESSOR! Anyway, after the ending, no-one from the Order will ever contact you again, although you are "the eyes and ears of the Order in New York" or something. I now have 10 million and I haven't heard from Juni or the Order. In other words, there is no more point you have to reach before continuing with the game. But you can have a lot of fun. Pardon me, I have to ship some Cardamine to planet Manhattan.
