my guess is that its a hoax. a rumor to get people to kill themselves looking for it.

u say unknown, but what do u mean
in omicron alpha, there is an unknown jump hole that takes u to a nomad system
the star never appears on your map, but you can go there
i haven't found anything there cept nomad ships

Unknown doesn't mean Jumphole.
It can be anything that is not named. You see, the game isn't finished.
You don't notice it thoughout the SP-campain, but some things you may find raise the suspicion that DA was still working on it when MS dropped the hammer, and ordered it's release: Suns that don't kill you, Nebulae and astroidfields that don't show up on the map, and the unknown stuff you found.

My best guess is that it's a black hole

Its a protoplanet. I remeber reading that somewhere. Just dont make me try to explain what its doing in the middle of a star.

the star is just about 27k above the other 1

i didn't looked for it, but was looking around for fun while th autopilot was heading for the omicron alpha jumphole...
