Zoner Conspiracy Theory

Ok, I've been playing this game for quite awhile now, and was always under the assumption that the Zoners were neutral to everyone. But, as I was playing, I did notice my rep with the Zoners would change, even by a little bit. Well, I've figured it out: It's the Bounty Hunters! The Zoners have some kind of "secret" arrangement with the BHG. Have you noticed Omicron Theta? How the Bounty Hunters are SOOOOO thick there, that if you're hostile to them, landing at Freeport 9 can be a real headache. And the Zoner bartender at Freeport 9 offers a bribe for the Bounty Hunters! What it is, see, is that the Zoners pretend to be neutral, have all these criminals come to their stations like nothing's wrong, and then the damn Bounty Hunters pay them off for their information so they can hunt them down! At least, that what it seems like to me...

The Zoners have many 'secret' reputation quirks. Killing Xenos seems to sometimes affect tehm, too. I doubt any of these 'secrets' actually have a story behind them, though.

yeah apparently the same thing happens with img and the gmg, i read on the rep hack list in the spoiler forum that they have unnoficial links with all the independant groups, xenos as well

I was told that rumor on on e of the Freeports, Freepost 9 I believe.
That dude told me that the Zoners actually don't really like Bounty Hunters, because it puts criminals on the edge. Or something like that.

Anyways, remember kids, drugs are bad, mmm-kay?

Zoners suck

they hate every one so theres only one thing to do get out the sunslayer torpedo and have some fun with the base

A. you kill xenos
B. you kill GMG/IMG/Corsair/Outcats, but only if in the vicinity of a zoner base or zoner ships.

Oddly enough the outcasts often attack zoners, yet killing the outcasts makes your rep fall. *sigh*

Is there ANY group one can shoot to IMPROVE zoner rep? (house police or corp maybe?)

erm...i docked at freeport 9 a couple o times and i couldn't get a job just because i was working for the corsairs back at Crete.The zoners at freeport 9 are supposedly friendly with the Bounty Hunters cause a rep hack for zoners did NOT make any jobs available to me....

DIAMONDBACK + WILDFIRE + 2 CANNONBALL MISSILES = 1 dead mother****er...

I think I know the answer: There is a No-Fighting zone outside there base.
A Corsair told me on FP# that the BH guys were lucky there is a NO-Fighting zone around the zoner bases, otherwise he would have killed them allready.
So if you get into a fight near a zoner base, you violate the No-Fighting zone. No wonder your rep goes down.
Notice how it never goes up, not for me anyway.

It's the Bounty Hunters! The Zoners have some kind of "secret" arrangement with the BHG.

I'm good friends with the Corsairs, Outcasts and Red Hessians. Before being friends with these three factions I was neutral with the Zoners. Naturally the Bounty Hunter hate my guts now and are even my greatest enemy. I kill alot of Bountyhunters and my rep with the zoners keeps getting better and better.
I also kill alot of Bounty Hunters around Freeport 9 so I don't know about that "no fighting zone".

Weather zoners or any others you want to make you rep better with, just hang a round them and when someone attacks them, shoot the hostile and your rep goes up. As long as you don't shoot too many, that groups rep with you won't go down too much

Yeh, you might have something there. It is made very clear in the storyline and down on the zoners bases that they are very strange people, I think you may have worked out why, or part of it anyway.
