Stuck at level 18!

I've completed the story missions in FL and ended up at lvl 18 at the end. Now I'm trying to do some atual freelancing and I've found that a) the only place I seem to be able to get missions is in certain Kusari systems, and b) Although I've made lots more $$ than needed to advance, I haven't - my stats have changed to say 'Mission', but I can't seem to find a mission that will advance me.

Any ideas?

Yea I also had that problem it will go away if you do a few more missions then your level will advance in high speed i'm at level 38 now i was stuck on level 28 and on level 36 but I fixed it with a few missions so maybe you should do that to

I think it's a bug. That have to do a mission pops up several times after you've completed the story line. I just took any mission, no matter how easy and underpaid. Surprised you're stuck at level 18 though. I had enough money that when I finished taking out the nomads, I suddenly jumped to level 26. If you need money, just go out and make some gold runs or gate parts. Look at the prices to see who needs them -- and pays lots of creds for them!

It's not a money issue - I've got something like 480k accumulated since my last advancement! I'll just keep playing a bit longer & see if it lets me advance after some more missions.

Is it normal to only have missions available in certain areas but at most places there's nothing? Is this a function of level?

SIMPLE SOLUTION---Buy some commodeties and then sell them somewhere else. I did this and when i bought them I gained 5 levels and 2 when I sold.
