Everyone Get the Next Generation Mod it Fricken Rocks!!!!!

they added new parts to the ships so you can upgraded and customize even more, such as improved scanning range, better engines, better sheilds, better power supplies its awesome... all the new ships have been balanced with the existing ships, and they have added paint to all of them, well to the egale iam flying now any how which is red and black and it rocks! havent checked out the systems, but so far i like it alot better then the freelancer massive mod v1.1 mod... you should check it out, if you have problems trying to download it from this site, pretty much the only site you can get it, just hit back twice when you get the error page and re hit the download button, may take 40 times but hey its worth it .. just means the servers busy when you get the error message any how, well iam off to explore good luck everyone...

Only problem is that ALL THE SHIPS TURN LIKE CRAP.

LF, HF, Battleship, it dont matter. They all turn like you're flying through mud.

Wheres a quick and agile LFs? I expected them to be similar to the drake,

And whats with that uber-powerful 600/600 50-times-a-second-firing gun?

Fix the ships turning, please, then I might look at it again. but at the moment the starflier flies worse than the original friggin titan!

OMG That is soooo true.
I like manuverability, but not like that for regular fighters.

Download the 1.2 version it fixs the manueverability problem.

and yes the mod owns all and now i have a reason to collect so much money
must have the RH Goliath its over $9,000,000
but i would like to fly the RH Cruiser to even though its ugly as hell.

Everyone should get this mod to.

I'm glad to hear that the ship's turn rate has been fixed, but what about the places where you can buy equipment? Only Liberty had anything for sale. I really didn't like having to go back to Liberty everytime I needed more nanos or bats. I didn't play through enough missions to see if equipment was available in Bretonia. I don't even know what could be done after Liberty turns against you in the storyline, you couldn't buy anything to resupply your ship after that point.

v1.2 DOES NOT fix the maneuverability problem. I installed it today praying it would fix it but nope. I still turn like a humpback in my little fighter.

I should mention it does fix the weapon problem. I can now get guns and ammo everywhere. Only need to go to the nexus for upgrades.

Not even the Patch fixes this.... Very dissapointed with the bugs.

I'm playing 1.3 version and there is no problem with maneuverability. But there is problem with jump gates - 80% of their structures had disapperared and it is sometimes hard to find gate on the screen. Moreover, jump gates are accesible from the opposite side - very strange.
I was shocked by the level of unification in mod. All equipment dealers, in all the Sirius Sector, have the same stock of goods. Diverse kinds of weapons and shields are gone - now there is one kind of shield (4 variants and 10 levels) and about 6 types of weapons (all from level 1 to 10). Very boring. In Nexus you can find about 6 more kinds of weapons and upgrades. So forget about exploring sector in search for a new weapon sold somewhere - there is no need.
I was very surprised when in the manual I found that TIE/Defender is ranked below X-Wing and much below B-Wing! Anyone who remember old "TIE Fighter" can say that rebel fighters were just easy game for Defenders. Another wonder: TIE/Interceptor in this mod is less maneuverable and slower than TIE/F! That's all about balancing ships... BUT MODELS ARE GREAT!

TNG is clearly made for MP game - I'cant see any point for flying BS in SP. So if anyone play MP, that is a mod for you. For Single Players - I'd prefer latest Rebalance.

Ditto... tried the 1.2 mod with 1.3 patch ontop... most if not all ships fly like crap. they turn well, but dont stop turning... too much momentum.

And i thought this mod perminently disabled the SP storyline?

You're probably right - I've noticed, that in TPP mode my TIE was dancing all over the screen, and I couldn't hit anything. In cockpit view this problem disappeared.

N, it didn't. But SP with all those new ships and weapons is... unchallenging?
